I’ve transliterated the original Aramaic Targum of Onkelos form Ashuri script to Paleo-Hebrew script, and translated the Aramaic used in Onkelos into an older Aramaic dialect called “Old Aramaic”. I used Open AI’s Chat GPT to help sort out any grammatical inconsistencies while using the CAL (Comprehensive Aramaic Lexicon) to insure accuracy. I’ve replaced the modern four character name of The Most High called the “tetragrammaton” with the oldest version of the tetragrammaton which is three characters (trigrammaton). The Most High’s name is usually written in third person meaning “he will be”, which is how we address him, but in Exodus 3:14, he addresses himself in the first person “I will be”, so which one do we use? Safe to say that we always use third person when referring him to others, second person when speaking to him directly, and first person when he addresses himself to his people. In my edits you will find I’ve used “I will be” AHW/AHU 𐀀𐀄𐀅 (first person), “You will be” THW/THU 𐀕𐀄𐀅 (second person), “He will be” YHW/YHU 𐀉𐀄𐀅 (third person). This insures that the reader honors the most high by using the oldest form of his name, and speaking it with accuracy.

Here are samples of me speaking his name in these forms:

  • AHW/AHU 𐀀𐀄𐀅 (first person)
  • THW/THU 𐀕𐀄𐀅 (second person)
  • YHW/YHU 𐀉𐀄𐀅 (third person)
