5 species of wild cucumbers in the Americas with the Aramaic/Hebrew word ΧžΧ¨Χ”/π€Œπ€“π€„ β€œMih-reh” or β€œMarah”, meaning β€œbitter” is no mere coincidence.

This video below does a great job expounding on the 5 wild cucumbers native to north america.

Wikipedia also agrees that this name for the cucumbers stems from Hebrew (Click here then go to the β€œUses” section below). This word is used in both the Aramaic Targums of the Old Testament and the Hebrew Tanakh (Masoretic Text, which is the foundation of the English Bible)β€”but, it wasn’t used for cucumbers. This word π€Œπ€“π€„/ΧžΧ¨Χ”(Marah) was used in Exodus 15:23 for the bitter water that the Israelites could not drink until Moses made it sweet.

β€œCucumbers” only appears twice in our Holy scriptures; Numbers 11:5; Isaiah 1:8. When we turn our Aramaic Targums, Hebrew Tanakh or English Bibles to Numbers 11:5, we find the Israelites complaining in the desert to Moses about how good they had it back in Egypt when they were being mistreated as slaves.

We remember the fish that we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic.

In the Hebrew Tanakh, the word for β€œcucumber” is: קשא

Now, Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, states that it means β€œto be hard”, β€œdifficulty of digestion”. So, my question is…Why would the Israelites eat this? Answer is: They didn’tβ€”and I will show you why.

First, before I can do that, I have to add a bridge to fill in the gap.

In the Aramaic Targums of Jonathan, Pseudo-Jonathan, and Neofiti the word is a little different. The word is Χ§Χ˜Χ•/π€’π€ˆπ€… β€œQih-tuu”.

A couple things here.

This means that this cucumber plant is not your normal grocery store cucumber and doesn’t have to be eaten, but it can be used for other purposes. Now, keep that in mind.

This Aramaic word equates it with the β€œsquirting cucumber” (Ecballium elatarium) where its juice is said to be elatarium and also translates to the β€œwild” cucumber.

This particular Gourd is native to Europe, northern Africa, and temperate areas of Asia. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecballium

This video below claims that Ancient Assyrians have been using this plant for a variety of purposes.

If you have been following me, watching my videos, reading the material that I’ve posted in my blogs; then, you know I am a strong advocate of the claim that the geography of the bible is not where mainstream historians say it is.

Let me expound on my claim from the introduction of this article; here in North America, we have 5 species of wild cucumber gourds native to our country. These 5 gourds contain the Aramaic/Hebrew word in their scientific names unlike the Ecballium elatrium that we’ve talked about, and range from northern California to southern California.

I would like to focus on the first one and I will let ya’ll do further research on the others.

Marah macrocarpa (sometimes spelled Marah macrocarpus), known as chilicothe, wild cucumber, manroot or bigroot is a species of plant in the genus Marah.

Wikipedia | Marah macrocarpa

Being stranded in the desert 🏜️ is not a pretty sight to see. I would imagine the lack of water, food and the smelly hygiene. We have to remember, that these ancient peoples lived in a time where major corporations weren’t making poisonous chemical products to distribute to local supermarkets. This means the Israelites had to refine things directly from the earth to use, from its purest form. More than likely, they weren’t taking any shortcuts by combining the natural with synthetics.

Apart from this, here is a video of Ayob Nazir explaining where the exodus actually took place.

So, if the Israelites left the main part of Egypt which was southern California, and Marah macrocarpa are found in southern California…I’m not asking you to be a mathematician, but please…
