Genesis 2:10 from the Aramaic Targum of Pseudo-Jonathan

ונהרא נפיק מעדן לאשקאה ית גינוניתא ומתמן מתפרש

והוה לארבעת רישיה נהרין

And a river went forth from Eden, to water the garden, and from thence was separated, and became four heads of rivers (or four chief rivers).

This is a map of America’s river system and we can see that it breaks off into 4 large rivers.

DIRECTION OF RIVER FLOW

(MOST CHIEF RIVERS OF NORTH AMERICA CONNECT TO THE EUPHRATES A.K.A THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER)

When reading Genesis 2:10 we might get the perception that the rivers originated and separated from Eden and flowed outwardly into other parts of the land. When correlating the river system of Genesis with the North American river system, we will find that this to be an error. Let us focus on the chief rivers of North America, that flow into the Mississippi river (Euphrates River) such as:

OHIO RIVER

ORIGIN: Appalachian Mountains

DIRECTION: WEST – The Ohio River flows west. It begins in western Pennsylvania and flows westward until it joins the Mississippi River at Cairo, Illinois.

MISSISSIPPI RIVER

ORIGIN: Lake Itasca, Minnesota

DIRECTION: SOUTH – The Mississippi River flows primarily south. It begins at Lake Itasca in northern Minnesota, which is higher in elevation than the surrounding areas allowing rainfall and run off to accumulate. Combined with nearby springs that feed into the lake, it consolidates creating the headwaters of the Mississippi river, and flows southward through the central United States until it empties into the Gulf of Mexico.

MISSOURI RIVER

ORIGIN: Rocky Mountains

DIRECTION: EAST – The Missouri River primarily flows east and southeast. It starts in the Rocky Mountains of western Montana and flows generally eastward across the Great Plains, eventually joining the Mississippi River near St. Louis, Missouri.

PLATTE RIVER

ORIGIN: Rocky Mountains

DIRECTION: EAST – The Platte River flows east. It originates in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and Wyoming and flows eastward across Nebraska, where it eventually joins the Missouri River near Omaha.

COLORADO RIVER

ORIGIN: Rocky Mountains

DIRECTION: WEST – The Colorado River primarily flows southwest. It originates in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and travels through several states, including Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California, before emptying into the Gulf of California in Mexico.

Even though the Colorado River doesn’t flow directly into the Euphrates or Mississippi River, it still plays a crucial role in understanding the true geography of the biblical Holy land. For right now, Let’s take the knowledge of the North America river system and read Genesis 2:11.

PYSUN RIVER IS THE MISSOURI RIVER AND THE PLATTE RIVER

והוה כל ארעא לישן חד וממלל חד ועיטא חדא בלישן קודשא הוו ממללין דאתבריא ביה עלמא מן שרויא

The name of the first is Phishon; that is it which compasseth all the land of Hindiki, where there is gold.

Now let’s read from the King James Version:

Genesis 2:11 (KJV) The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

Note📝: Hindiki is the same as Havilah because we read here in Genesis 10:7 starting with the Aramaic Targum of Pseudo-Jonathan

ובנוי דכוש סבא וחוילה וסבת ורעמא וסבתכא ושום אפרכיותהום סיניראי והנדקי וסמידאי ולובאי וזינגאי ובנוי דמוריטינוס זמדגד ומזג

And the sons of Kush, Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabteka, and the name of their provinces, Sinirai, and Hindiki, and Semadi, and Lubai, and Zingai. And the sons of Mauritinos, Zmargad and Mezag.

Did you catch that? Havilah which is properly pronounced Chuyleh had a province named Hindiki. The King James Version is not as extensive, but confirms that Havilah or Chuyleh is a person:

Genesis 10:7 (KJV) And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

Moving forward, the River Pysun from Genesis 2:11 encompassing the land of its founder Havilah or Chuyleh, which is called Hindiki, is the Missouri River.

Scripture points out that there is gold and since gold is found in abundance on the westside of North America, then where the river Pysun or the Missouri River runs had to have a substantial amount of gold for it to be mentioned as a key attribute to the area.

BLACK HILLS GOLD RUSH (1874)

What was the westside of North America known for to early European settlers? The California Gold Rush of 1848. This occurred in Northern California, but in addition, other states like Montana, Colorado, South Dakota etc. are also famous for having a substantial amount of gold hidden within their terrains. This means that two chief rivers running those lands are the Pysun River which is now the Missouri river and Platte River combined, and the Gychun or Gihon which is the Colorado river. More about the second river in a second. First, let me explain the Missouri River & Platte River flowing eastward through a land of gold.

This leads us to the Black Hills Gold Rush of 1874 occurring almost 30 years later in South Dakota.

In between the Pysun River or the Missouri River and the Platte River, Mount Rushmore and the surrounding areas had so much gold within its lands, European settlers killed off the indigenous in the area (specifically the Sioux tribe) pillaged the gold, and gave them back the land at a later time, but this time only without the Mount Rushmore area. In the fall month of October 1927, the United States government would then proceed to start to carve the faces of their founding fathers in the cliffs of the rock, we know it now today as Mount Rushmore.

Let us now re-read Genesis 2:11 from the Aramaic Targum of Pseudo-Jonathan with the new insights I’ve provided to develop a different perspective of what the scriptures could actually be talking about.

BDELLIUM, BYRIL OR ONYX

ודהבא דארעא ההוא בחיר תמן בידילחא ואבנין טבין

דבורלין

And the gold of that land is choice. There is the bedilcha, and the precious stones of byrils.

Genesis 2:12 (KJV) And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

Since we know that North America contains the true biblical holy land, then it’s impossible for bydylcha or bdellium, which is a tree resin to be considered the resin that the scriptures are referring to. There are a lot of tree resins extracted from trees here in the Americas that could be interchangeable with bdellium such as: Pine resin, Balsam fir resin, Spruce resin, etc. Whatever resin it is, its location is tied in with beryl or onyx stone in Genesis 2:12. In the Aramaic Targum of PSJ the precious stone beryl is used. In the King James Version, the precious stone onyx is used, so which one is it?

The word used in the Hebrew scriptures for onyx is שהם, but Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance seems to be conflicted between beryl and onyx. In the Aramaic Targum of PSJ they use burlyn or בורלין for beryl with no mention of onyx. Which ever stone it could be, they both can be found in the state of Colorado.

GYCHUN RIVER IS THE COLORADO RIVER

The North & South Platte River are not connected to the Colorado River, but they originate from the same area in the Rocky Mountains.

This map shows the headwaters of the North Platte River, and the Colorado River in the first circle near the top. The second circle contains an additional headwater source of the Colorado River called the Eagle River, the headwaters of the South Platte River, and the Arkansas River.

Remember, if we are using the North-American model for the biblical holy land, this means that the 4 chief rivers cannot flow from low elevation to high elevation (i.e. starting from the Euphrates or the Mississippi River, flowing up to the Missouri River and Platte River, then to the Rocky Mountains, but it flows vice versa), because water follows the path of least resistance. Basically, water flows downhill.

So, when we read Genesis 2:13, we must take it with a grain of salt.

And the name of the second river is Gichon; that is it which encompasseth all the land of Koosh.

There is no direct contact between the Colorado River and the Mississippi River or the Euphrates River properly pronounced “PeRT” פרת. This means it couldn’t be considered one of the 4 chief rivers, but at the same time it fits the description of a chief river flowing through the land of Kush named Gychun.

THE LAND OF KUSH IS CALLED ARABIA

The Colorado River is the river that encompasses the land of Kush, because if we research the Grand Canyon we can see there have been numerous Egyptian artifacts found through out the canyon. Petrified temples such as the Isis Temple, Shiva Temple, and Cheops Pyramid are all proof of a far more ancient civilization existing out of the narrative of mainstream education.

Kush (Koosh) is the father of Havilah or correctly pronounced Chuyleh, as we read in Genesis 10:7

This is more than likely why both chief rivers; the Pysun and Gychun, which are today’s Missouri River, Platte river and Colorado River are close to each other with both areas containing a substantial amount gold.

Again, the lands of father and son are right next to each other with the north being Havilah’s or Chuyleh’s province called Hindiki and Kush’s province called Arabia. I know what you’re thinking, wasn’t Arabia in the Middle East between Africa and Asia? The answer is yes, but it wasn’t the original one.

If it’s not already clear, the land of Kush is called Arabia.

DIGLIT/DIQLIT (HIDDEKEL) RIVER IS THE OHIO RIVER

And the name of the third river is Diglath; that is it which goeth to the east of Athoor. And the fourth river is Pherath.

Analysis 🧐

The ancient name of the Ohio River may differ slightly between Aramaic and Hebrew, but nevertheless they are talking about the same river. The Aramaic name Athur/Athoor, is translated in the Hebrew scriptures under Asshur, and in English as Assyria.

This river flows “EAST of Athur” which would be in the Babylonian territory.

The Ohio River or DIGLIT/DIQLIT River marks off boundaries in states today such as Ohio, Indiana, Illinois. If the river ran “EAST” of Athur/Athoor then is it farfetched to say that the midwest region of the United States contains the land of Athur/Asshur/Assyria? Especially when incorporating all of the prior information I’ve provided?

Let’s mix this piece of information with the Aramaic Targum of Rishon on Esther chapter 1 verse 4

“Even Cyrus found that wealth when, upon capturing Babylonia, he dug in the bank of the Euphrates and discovered there 680′ copper vessels filled with pure gold, sparkling gems, yellow emeralds, and other types of gems;…”

This lets us know that the bank of Euphrates was in Babylonian territory.

Verse 7 lets us know that Myrtle is found in the Babylonian territory.

In North America, myrtle trees are primarily represented by species like the Wax Myrtle (Myrica cerifera), also known as the Southern Wax Myrtle or Southern Bayberry. These are commonly found in the southeastern United States. They thrive in coastal areas, wetlands, and other regions with moist soil, ranging from Delaware and Maryland down through Florida and west to Texas.

Before the tower of Babel fell, and the emergence of the Babylonian empire, the region was referred to as Mesopotamia, which incorporated the Sumerian, Akkadian and Ugaritic cultures. The Sumerians, being the most ancient sophisticated civilization, gave birth to a language shared by the whole world.

Genesis 11:1

And all the earth was (of) one language, and one speech, and one counsel. In the holy language spake they, that by which the world had been created at the beginning.

The people started building to be higher than TMH, so he scattered the languages.

After, a couple of empires emerged, such as Akkad/Akkadia/Acad/Acadia and Ugarit, their languages stayed close to Sumerian, spawning Aramaic and Hebrew. In later times Accad/Acad/Akkad, which was 1 of 4 cities that Nimrod the King of Babel (Babylon) was the chief of, came to an end.

Genesis 10:10 (KJV) And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

Ironically, in more recent times the French moved in the Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Prince Edward Island area and called themselves the “Acadians”.

Before the French colony of Acadia, the Abenaki/Abanaki/Abnaki apart of the Wabanaki confederacy ruled the area. Abenaki/Abanaki is actually two Akkadian/Acadian words.

1. ABN, 𐤀𐤁𐤍 or אבן means “Stone, Rock”

2. Aki/Ki, 𐤀𐤊𐤉 or אכי means Like, as, how?

3. Taking all of this into consideration Abanaki/Abenaki/Abnaki means:

“LIKE STONE” or “AS STONE”

Before I draw the possible boundaries of Babylon I would like to touch on the significance of copper and its history in North America a little more.

“…Babylonia, he dug in the bank of the Euphrates and discovered there 680 copper vessels filled with pure gold…”

Genesis 2:14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

Using the North American model of the biblical Holy Land, this would put the garden of Eden in the turquoise circle right below the yellow circle. This is the point where the chief rivers intersect. If we zoom into the turquoise area, we find areas such as “The Garden of the Gods”, Mound City, Cairo etc.
